Book Your North Myrtle Beach Vacation Rental at Ocean Keyes

3BR/2BA — Sleeps 8 — Gated Community — Walk to the Beach

You pull through the gate at Ocean Keyes and the GPS says you’ve arrived, but something else tells you first. The Spanish moss swaying from the live oaks. The palm fronds rustling overhead. The scent of salt air mixing with fresh-cut grass. You park, grab the bags, and before you’ve even unlocked the door, your shoulders drop two inches. That knot between your shoulder blades — the one you’ve carried since October — starts to loosen.

This is where your vacation actually begins. Not at baggage claim. Not on the highway. Right here, at 601 Hillside Dr N, in one of North Myrtle Beach’s most sought-after gated communities.

What Guests Love Most

Your Own Place at the Beach

This isn’t a hotel room with a mini-fridge and a “Do Not Disturb” sign. It’s a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home where your family or group spreads out, settles in, and actually relaxes. Two king beds with memory foam mattresses. A queen in the third bedroom. A queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Everyone gets their own space — all 8 of you.

The enclosed glass patio is the room that surprises people. Ceiling fans overhead, Adirondack chairs, sliding windows wide open. Morning coffee here becomes a ritual by day two. By day three, you’ll wonder why you ever booked a hotel.

Walk to Everything That Matters

Two routes to Main Street: The quick way — out the side of the complex to 2nd Ave N, just two blocks to Ocean Drive (~0.4 miles, about 7 minutes). The scenic way — 0.65 miles through the landscaped community to the beach at 3rd Ave N, then less than half a mile up to Main Streetsushi at Soho, rooftop drinks at Sky Bar, shag dancing at Fat Harold’s, and Southern comfort food at Hoskins.

Beach, dinner, nightlife — all on foot. No car. No parking lot. No designated driver.

A Golfer’s Home Base

80+ championship golf courses are within 25 minutes of the front door. Barefoot Resort, Tidewater, Caledonia, Oyster Bay, Thistle — courses your buddies back home have never heard of, playing at a fraction of what you’d pay in Pinehurst or Hilton Head. Come back after your round, fire up the grill, and replay every shot on the patio with a cold drink in your hand.

Resort Amenities Without Resort Prices

Ocean Keyes is a gated community — not a parking lot with a building. Inside the gates you’ll find:

  • Multiple pools and hot tubs (the nearest one is steps from the front door)
  • Fitness center with treadmills, weight machines, and a full dumbbell rack
  • Tennis courts for a morning warmup before the beach
  • Game room with pool table and ping pong
  • Shared grills for cookouts
  • 24/7 gated security — park, unload, and stop worrying

The Math That Changes Everything

Here’s what most families discover too late: booking a vacation rental for 8 people costs less than 2 hotel rooms.

Think about it. Your group of 6–8 needs at least 2 hotel rooms on the Grand Strand. At peak season, that’s $200–$300+ per room per night. That’s $400–$600 per night for your group — and you’re still cramped, splitting up the family across hallways, and eating every meal out because there’s no kitchen.

At 601 Hillside Dr N, everyone stays together under one roof. And when you do the math per person per night, the savings aren’t small — they’re dramatic:

What you get that hotels can’t match:

  • Full kitchen — cook breakfast, pack beach lunches, grill dinner. Families save $100–$150/day on meals alone
  • Free parking for 2 vehicles (hotels charge $15–$25/night)
  • In-unit washer/dryer — pack half the luggage
  • 3 bedrooms + sleeper sofa — everyone has their own bed, their own space
  • 4 Smart TVs with streaming — no fighting over the remote
  • Gig-speed WiFi — actually fast enough to work if you need to (but you won’t want to)
  • Enclosed patio — your own private outdoor space, not a shared hotel balcony
  • Community pools, hot tubs, fitness center, tennis — all included

The hotel gives you a room. This gives you a vacation.
